G3 Field Trip

On Friday, November 29th, 2019 KIS's Grade 3 class had the opportunity to take their learning outdoors. They visited the Dutch Flower Garden to see first-hand what they've been studying these past few weeks.

The Grade 3 class had been studying flowers and other plants. They've been learning about a plant's life cycle, how plants reproduce and how other outside factors contribute to a plant's survival.

At the Dutch Flower Garden, the students were able to review and continue their lesson on plants while enjoying the fresh air and outdoor atmosphere. On location, the students could see first-hand pollination of a plant, identify reproductive parts of a variety of flowers and purchase their own plant or flower they'd like to take care of themselves. The students were thrilled to take their learning outside of the classroom and look forward to the next class field trip.
