The Cambodia trip was a lesson in history, culture, and humanity. The students learned history through exploring Cambodia’s ancient ruins at Angkor. Through visiting local markets and trying local cuisines, students got to see firsthand the culture of Southeast Asia. Moreover, students learned the value of humanity by learning about the genocide at the killing fields and by showing KIS’s value of service through volunteering, performing, and giving at a local school.
