Letter to KIS Family
<Title: Distance Education Policies>
Dear Parents,
As we approach the 2020-2021 school year, and attempt to return to some normalcy, we would like to inform you of a change to distance learning:
Starting on the 10th of August, all students who are currently in Shenzhen, must attend live classes; distance learning will only be available for students who are stuck outside of China. K.I.S., will continue to implement CoVid-19 prevention procedures, ensuring that students are safe at all times. We understand that there are parents who are in Shenzhen, who would prefer to continue with distance learning however, we ask for understanding, as we progress with the new normal.
As we still have a number of students still outside of China, KIS International School will continue to teach classes online, though there will be some changes. Some class content may be modified or some classes may become project-based to fit the structure and environment of a virtual classroom. This will vary from class to class and particularly, with Tae Kwon Do, Music, Art, and P.E. classes. Though the format may be different, students will continue to learn the curriculum and still get the credit they need to move forward. This may not apply some elective courses; some may not be available to online students.
Though these changes may not be ideal, KIS International School continues to maintain quality education for those students in Shenzhen and abroad. It is our goal that we help each student reach their full potential as we stay committed to students achieving a 21st Century education.
Thank you.
